How We Got Saved

Welcome to the Church In Detroit

 I know your works; behold, I have put before you an opened door which no one can shut, because you have a little power and have kept My word and have not denied My name. (Revelation 3:8)

As believers meeting as the church in Detroit, we formerly participated in conferences and trainings sponsored by Living Stream Ministry. Due to their extra-Biblical deviations and improper uplifting of a man, we choose to no longer receive their current ministry with their associated activities. However, we remain steadfast in our stand before the Lord as believers gathered in oneness on the local ground.

SUBJECT: the church life
METER: 7.7.7.7.D.
AUTHOR: Norm Minahan, written for Detroit Believers' Conference 11/10/07
COMPOSER: Herbert Howard Booth (1862-1926) Tune #224

Verse 1

Out of every nation brought –
New creation – by blood bought;
Called to be the one new man,
Called according to God’s plan.

Chorus:

Gathering from home to home,
Meeting in His name alone;
Gathering from home to home,
As His Bride His love is shown.

Verse 2

Teaching, practice, ministry,
These are not their unity;
Oneness of the Spirit – keep;
By one bond united – peace.

Verse 3

Bearing others in His love
By the grace that’s from above;
Judging no more others’ faith;
Meeting in abounding grace.

Verse 4

As God’s kingdom on the earth,
Treas’ring every member’s worth;
Peace and righteousness and joy
From the Spirit they enjoy.

Verse 5

They have just a little power;
Keep His word from hour to hour;
They have not denied His name;
In His love they all remain.

Verse 6

By His life alone they live;
One another’s sins forgive;
Reaching out to all the lost,
They would live in Pentecost.
